Promote Historic Resources, Strategy 4: Amend existing codes to achieve historic preservation goals is contained in the 2025 Boulder City Strategic Plan.
The Historic Preservation Committee passed a motion on August 26, 2020 seeking City Council approval to create an Ad hoc Committee to recommend changes to the City Code, Title 11, Chapter 27 Historic Resources.
On October 13, 2020, the City Council approved Resolution No. 7167 which established the Boulder City Historic Preservation Ordinance Ad hoc Committee.
Purpose: The purpose of the Committee is to evaluate possible changes to the City Code, Title 11, Chapter 27 Historic Resources and advise the City Council.
Members and Term: The City Council shall appoint four members to the Committee as follows:
The Committee shall hold regular meetings, but not less regularly than once every three months. The meetings will be open to the public and shall comply with the State of Nevada Open Meeting Law.
