Between the jurisdictional boundaries of Boulder City and Henderson in the Eldorado Valley there are several thousand acres of U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land that was not a part of either jurisdiction. The City worked with the City of Henderson to agree on which jurisdiction should annex this land. Based on this agreement, the City annexed approximately 2,554.88 acres in 2023.
